I FEEL THE STATEMENT IS TRUE BECAUSE IT IS HARD TO SAY NO TO THINGS YOU KNOW ARE NOT RIGHT. ESPECIALLY IF SOMEONE IS TEMPTING YOU WHICH MAKES IT REAL HARD TO ALWAYS DO WHAT IS RIGHT. THEIR IS ALWAYS SOMETHING BAD BEING COMMITTED EVERY DAY BUT IT IS YOUR CHOICE IF YOU WANT TO COMMITTEE THEM.

FOR EXAMPLE IF A FRIEND TELLS YOU TO DITCH AND GO KICK IT WITH HIM AND SOME CUTE GIRLS. YOU WILL THINK TO YOURSELF WHY NOT I AM ALWAYS GOING TO SCHOOL BUT YOU KNOW IT IS THE WRONG THING TO DO BECAUSE YOU MIGHT HAVE A TEST IN CLASS YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT.

HERE ARE SOME GUIDELINES FOR CREATING AND RUNNING A STUDY GROUP:HOW MANY? CREATE A GROUP OF FOUR TO SIX PEOPLE. IN  A LARGER GROUP, IT'S EASY FOR SOMEONE TO GET LEFT OUT AND SMALLER GROUPS CAN TOO EASILY GET OFF TRACK.
WHO? PICK CLASSMATES WHO SEEM TO SHARE YOUR INTEREST IN DOING WELL ACADEMICALLY. LOOK FOR PEOPLE WHO STAY ALERT IN CLASS, TAKE NOTES, ASK QUESTIONS AND RESPOND TO THE TEACHER'S QUESTIONS. INCLUDE SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE MATERIAL BETTER THAN YOU AND CAN EXPLAIN THE CONCEPTS AND SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND IT AS WELL, TO WHOM YOU CAN EXPLAIN THE MATERIAL.
WHERE? HOLD STUDY GROUP SESSIONS IN A PLACE THAT IS FREE OF DISTRACTIONS THAT HAS ROOM TO SPREAD OUT BOOKS ND NOTES. HOW LONG? MEET FOR NO MORE THAN TWO TO THREE HOURS AT A TIME. HAVING A TIME LIMIT HELPS THE GROUP FOCUS. IF YOU KNOW YOU ONLY HAVE AN HOUR, YOU'RE MORE LIKELY TO STAY ON TASK.

WALK THE TALK

I AM GOING TO WALK THE TALK BY DOING THE RIGHT THING AND BEING MYSELF IN THE PROCESS. I AM GOING TO RESPECT OTHERS AND IN RETURN THEY WILL SHOW ME RESPECT TOO. I WILL ALWAYS CHOSE WHAT IS RIGHT AND NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD IF ALL THEY ARE CHOOSING IS NEGATIVE THINGS. I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED FOR A PERSON WHO DOES POSITIVE THINGS AND HELPS PEOPLE IN NEED. SOMEONE THAT IS IMPORTANT IN SOMEONE ELSE'S EYES FOR THE RIGHT REASONS.

  • PAUSE TO THINK ABOUT WHETHER YOU UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL;ASK QUESTIONS IN CLASS ABOUT ANYTHING THAT IS UNCLEAR.
